Ramini Luchmee made last year a choice that, for several people, defied all logic. This resident of Lallmatie, aged 19, left the QEC where she studied until the Higher School Certificate (HSC) and obtained good results. But she wanted to improve her performance and it was at Modern College in Flacq that she chose to study to take part in the HSC exams for the second time. The second attempt was the good one because she won a scholarship. For Ramini Luchmee, “it is not the school that makes the laureates, but rather the effort of the pupil and the teachers”.
“I have no regrets for leaving Queen Elizabeth College for Modern College in Flacq,” she says. “This result is the result of hard work throughout the year,” she explains. She said she was very satisfied with the hard work of the Modern College teaching staff, which enabled her to get a scholarship. “In addition, the support of the college was very encouraging,” says this laureate of Lallmatie.Ramini
