The first Council of Ministers, chaired by Pravind Jugnauth, was held on Friday 27 January 17 at 10.30 am at the Treasury Building. On leaving this first cabinet, Vishnu Lutchmeenaraidoo, Minister of Foreign Affairs, was laudatory to the new head of government.”I am impressed by the Prime Minister, impressed by his management capacity, in an extremely efficient way, especially,” he said.This council of ministers, chaired for the first time by Pravind Jugnauth as Prime Minister, had a special appearance, for Sir Anerood Jugnauth was present as Minister Mentor.Around the table there were also four deputies who became ministers for the first of their careers, Stéphane Toussaint, Sudhir Seesungkur, Mahen Jugroo and Eddy Boissezon.
