Patrick Steeve Serret, alias Poloco, and Christophe Legrand appeared before the intermediate court on Wednesday, January 18th, during the murder of Denis Fine.They were found guilty on 12 January by magistrate Vijay Appadoo for conspiracy to harm Denis Fine.Denis Fine, a Mauritian based in Paris, was killed by a bullet in the head on the night of January 3, 2010 at his home in Pamplemousses.Sada Curpen, also prosecuted in this case, was acquitted on 12 January.On Wednesday, 18 January, during the pleadings, the two defendants maintained their innocence in this case; Requesting the leniency of the Court.Neelkanth Dulloo, lawyer for Christophe Legrand, argued that the Court should take into account the time his client spent in preventive detention.While Rama Valayden, a lawyer for Poloco, reported that his client has always cooperated with the police. And in a statement in court, Poloco claimed that he is the sole breadwinner of his family.Their sentence will be pronounced on Wednesday 25 January.
